About

Nexus Academy

Your go-to academy for cybersecurity, compliance, cloud and AI. We build the training we wished existed when we were the ones holding the pager, writing the Statement of Applicability, or explaining to a board why the audit slipped.

What we teach

Twenty courses, all published or refreshed in 2026, across seven areas: compliance and GRC, AI security and governance, blue team and SOC operations, cloud and container security, network security, OT/ICS and IoT security, and cybersecurity careers. Every course is built around work you would actually be asked to do — a hardening baseline, an audit package, a detection, a threat model, a self-assessment.

How the courses are built

Principle 01

Scenarios over definitions

Concepts arrive attached to a situation where they matter. It is how the job asks, and how exams increasingly ask too.

Principle 02

Artefacts you keep

Templates, checklists, policies and scripts are included because the deliverable is usually the hard part.

Principle 03

Current, and dated

Frameworks move. Courses are revised as ATT&CK, the EU AI Act, FedRAMP 20x, HIPAA and CMMC change.

Principle 04

Honest about limits

Where a control is contested or a standard is still in draft, the course says so rather than pretending certainty.

Where the courses live

All courses are hosted on Udemy, which handles enrolment, payment, streaming, mobile and TV apps, subtitles and refunds. You get lifetime access, a certificate of completion, and a 30-day refund window. Links from this site to Udemy are instructor referral links — they cost you nothing extra and they help fund the time that goes into keeping courses current.

The newsletter

The Nexus Signal is a weekly briefing: what changed in the threat landscape, what moved in regulation, and one thing worth fixing this week. It is free, it is short, and it is the fastest way to keep up without reading twelve feeds.
